Praying for Us

Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because  you loved me before the creation of the world.
John 17: 24

Jesus knew He was coming closer to The Cross.  As the hour approached, He prayed for Himself, He prayed for His Disciples, and then He prayed for us...that we may have unity of spirit so that God's love would be shown to the world.  And He prayed for us to be with Him, to experience His heavenly glory.

I was having lunch in a crowded restaurant today.  As I walked through the dining room, I passed a table of eight.  Their heads were bowed, eyes were closed and hands were clasped.  In that noisy, busy place, they had created holy ground. They prayed.  Thank God for Christian people and the unity of prayer!

As this season of Lent comes to a close and we face Resurrection Morning, may His love surround us and draw us ever closer to His heart.  It's up to each of us to be a part of the answer to His prayer.
