A New Friend

What a fresh breeze...a new friend!

I've recently attended a writer's conference called She Speaks sponsored by Proverbs 31 Ministries.  Besides all the great advice from successful authors like Lysa TerKeurst, Glynnis Whitwer and Karen Ehman, the small group interaction with other aspiring writers was invaluable and monumentally encouraging.

One of those girls (and let's face it...they were all younger than me!) was Natalie Chambers Snapp.  Natalie is a young mom who is sharing her life via her blog,  And she has just signed a contract to publish her book Heart Sisters with Abingdon Press.
Besides all that, she's just a nice person.  I suggest you check out her blog and get to know her.  I'm looking forward to reading her book - I'll post here when it's done and available.

In the meantime, consider...who are your Heart Sisters?  Would love to hear about them.

  1. Sue--I liked her blog. Thanks for sharing. I am doing a study by Lysi Terkeurst now called Made to Crave. One of my heart sisters is Cathy Bailey. I met her around 35 years ago when she moved to Dothan to work as physical therapist. We introduced her to one of Don's single friends and they were married 3 months later, He was 35 at the time. Well, they are still married and have two wonderful children. She has MS and has had breast cancer 2x but no body gets me like she does. Another heart sister is my sister-in-law, Carolyn. We have walked with each other through some rough times--it is so good to have someone who has the same kind of faith that you have and is willing to speak the truth to you no matter how painful it can be.

    1. Gotta have those Heart Sisters! Thanks for your comments.

    2. Gigi, loved reading about your Heart Sisters. They are so critical in our lives, aren't they? Thanks for visiting my blog!

  2. You are Mine !!! :-) Love you.

  3. Sue, thank you so much for featuring me here on your blog! Meeting you was such a blessing - so enjoyed getting to know you at She Speaks. I can't wait to read Faith Breezes! I will for sure be helping you publicize when that time comes.

Thanks again, friend, for your kind words.
